#Review: Last Dance (A Novella) by Zoe Blackwood | #OnTour with @HeaBookToursPR @ZoeBlackwood | #HBTPRM

Last Dance
Zoe Blackwood
Adult, Romance, Suspense

My name is Parker, and this is my story. It is Joey’s story as much as it is mine, because she is the girl that I will love until I take my last breath. She is the light in the darkest corner and the person whose hand I hope to hold on my last day.

We never know when that might be: The end. The last dance. I didn’t know when mine would be. I didn’t know a lot of things. The best lessons in life hurt the most. That was the thing about betraying the person you loved, there was no way to take it back.

If you can, learn from my mistakes. We never realize what matters the most until we’re faced with losing it, and sometimes not until it’s gone.

DISCLAIMER: I received an e-ARC of this book in exchange for honest review, as part of this blog tour. Might contain spoilers.

This book takes place in the 70's! How cool is that! I love books that are set in 60s-90s. There is use of drugs, alcohol. And . . . sex. Of course. I would not say this suitable for anyone under 18+. The story itself was great. Every second you are in Parker's mind, you start to see the puzzle come together. It has its moments, and the explicit scenes though rather intense, helps you see the relationship between Parker and Joey. It's not meaningless. He was making love to her. L♥VE.

My Rating: 4.5 of 5 Stars.
I believe the only reason this book did not get that measly half star is because I personally did not like how, in the beginning, Parker and Joey kind of have an open relationship. Park is with other girls all the time, and I personally feel that if you're with someone, you stick with them, even if you are not "fully committed". Other than that, it was a great read. I was so relieved when Parker and Joey got back together. Parker's speech . . . it was beautiful.

As soon as it was in place, a jeweled crown over her brown hair, I was tossed back to that first night outside the theater when I’d noticed her standing there in a little dress that hugged her figure. Her hair was swaying and she was smiling that big, incredible smile she had when she was mostly unaware of how captivating and beautiful she was.
