#Review: The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts | #McNerd @EntangledTEEN #Crush @LBrownRoberts

The Replacement Crush
by Lisa Brown Roberts
Release date: September 6th, 2016

True love can’t be strategized.

After book blogger Vivian Galdi’s longtime crush pretends their secret summer kissing sessions never happened, Vivian creates a list of safe crushes, determined to protect her heart.

But nerd-hot Dallas, the sweet new guy in town, sends the mission and Vivian’s zing meter into chaos. While designing software for the bookstore where Vivian works, Dallas wages a counter-mission.

Operation Replacement Crush is in full effect. And Dallas is determined to take her heart off the shelf.

DISCLAIMER: I received a copy of this book (via NetGalley, offered by Entangled Teen) in exchange for an honest review. Prepare to have your glasses knocked to the ground. This review will NOT contain spoilers. I am afraid you will have to wait for the book to come out in September.

I think the description gives away quite a bit, so I will just share a bit with you, refraining from giving away the important details. We have Vivian, a smart girl with smarts and a great personality. There is just one problem, after finally landing herself a kiss with her crush, she learns his true intentions on the first day back at school, and realizes she needs to counter-act her hormones and focus on some other potential crushes. One of Vivian's best friends actually tries to slip her other best friend, who is more like a brother to her.

Can we take a moment to acknowledge the fact that this book dedicates to book bloggers? This is a book blogger's dreams brought to life! More or less.

Dallas, oh Dallas. What can the boy not do? Coding genius,  "nerd-hot" and a friggn' epic cello player. Got me hooked on that Croatian cello duo, 2Cellos, all over again. Dead serious; I have not listened to them in a long time. Dallas is new in town, but Viv does not want to put him on her RC (Replacement Crush) list, because . . . let's face it. He's hot and she is not sure he would actually like her that way. The point of her RC list is to distract her from the fact that her original crush was an . . . A-hole. Dallas has a way of catching himself about to curse whenever he is around Viv. I think every young man should make that a habit. *Whispers* It's a sexy quality.

My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars.
When I received the email from the publicist, asking if I was interested in reviewing this book, of course my answer was an automatic yes! I love Dallas! I need to get me a McNerd. *Winks* I don't know why, but I saw this gif while writing this review and immediately thought of Dallas. L.B.R. is one of my favorite authors. I read one of her other books, Playing the Player, and fell in love with her writing. I love the Star Trek references; Spock's mental advice to Viv and Captain Kirk. It was awesome! I am so glad that I read this book. Definitely adding it to future potential purchases. *Turns and shouts to mother* I need fifty dollars for Amazon!
